We bring to you the Indo-French Concert Khushboo – the result of original and innovative meetings between different virtuosos who have mastered their individual crafts over several years!
Sarangi Maestro Murad Ali Khan and French composer Titi Robin (compositions, bouzoug, guitar) have been working together on joint artistic projects for the last decade. Padma Shri Gulabo Sapera and Titi Robin began their collaboration in the early 90s with the Gitans album, the first of a long series of recording, videos, and numerous tours around the globe. A few months ago, Murad Ali Khan decided to reunite on stage Gulabo Sapera (an eminent representative of the Rajasthani sapera dance) with Mahua Shankar (a brilliant star of Classical Kathak).
Accompanying these artists, we have Shuheb Hasan and Zohaib Hasan (songs), Dino Banjara (percussion) and Amaan Ali Khan (tabla). The resulting performance is both adventurous and radical in the aesthetic risks that it takes.
