  • What is the basic difference between Extensive and Intensive?

The basic difference between a Regular and Crash course is that the Regular courses  are for 15 weeks, two hours a day, daily from Monday to Friday. Whereas Crash courses are for 10 weeks, three hours a day, daily from Monday to Friday.

  • Are there classes on the weekends?

Yes, we do have classes on weekends. Each level (150 hrs) is divided into two parts (eg: Level 1 part 1 and Level 1 part 2 ). The part 1 covers the first 60 hours of the course and the part 2 the balance 90 hours.

  • What are the suitable timings for the working professionals?

Suitable timings for working professionals can be: 7:00 am - 9:00 am or 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on weekdays and the classes we offer on weekends.

  • How many sessions are there in a year?

There are 4 sessions in a year January-May, March-July, August-November, September-December.

  • Is this course a diploma or degree course?

There are six levels and after the completion of the classes of each level one can appear for the corresponding DELF/DALF exam in order to get a French International diploma.

  • Are there any private classes given?

Yes, we do have an option of private classes. The charges per hour will depend on the group size. Please check the website for  details.

  • I have basic knowledge of French, is there a way to asses my level?

If someone has already done French before and to assess one’s level one has to take up a level checking test, the level of a candidate will be checked and judged and will be given an appropriate level.

  • What are the modes of payment?

The modes of payment are cash or cheque.

  • Can I pay in installments?

We have a no refund policy.

  • What is your refund policy?

There is no option of paying by installments. One has to pay the entire course fee at the time of admission.

  • Can I change to a different timing, if I feel the timings are not suitable?

Change in timings, batches, or transfers will not be permitted after enrolment, unless under exceptional circumstances and provided the seats are available in the other batch. In case it is authorised by the management a transfer fee of Rs 1000/- will be charged.

  • Can I do a course by correspondence?

As a correspondence course one can opt for an online course i.e. to learn French online for further information one can log on to : www.clickonfrench.com.

  • What are the job prospects after learning French?

There are various Multinational Companies, Banks, BPO’s, who are dealing with French companies and who require French speaking candidates. One can also become a translator, interpreter or teacher minimum level required will be B1, B2 (approx 2 years). We put up these requirements on our notice boards at the office and at the centres and publish them in our magazine Impressions.

  • Are there any accommodation and conveyance facilities?

We do not provide any accommodation and conveyance facilities.

Alliance Française is affiliated by the French Embassy in India.
