Import / Export _ Mumbai / Marseille ;The International Centre of Poetry, Marseille (cipM) and the Embassy of France, New Delhi in collaboration with Alliance Française de Bombay and The PEN All-India Centre present an unique exchange between poets based in Mumbai and Marseille.

Since 1999, the cipM has developed a programme entitled Import/Export for a series of exchanges between poets resulting in a bilingual publication. Three French poets and three foreign poets meet once in Marseille and once in a city in the country of the foreign poets in order to translate and to be translated collectively. This collective translation is then read at public events in each country at the end of the translation workshops and integrally published in both original and translated languages. The whole text is then published in original and translated languages the following year, if possible, and co-published with cipM and a publisher/establishment of the concerned country.

Participants:

Caroline Sagot-Duvauroux, Danielle Mémoire and Franck André Jamme are the French poets participating in the 2010 edition, along with Mumbai-based poets Hemant Divate, Mustansir Dalvi and Sampurna Chattarji.
