Alliance Française de Bombay presents an exclusive screening of ‘Ruins and Remains’ — a documentary by filmmaker Mrinalini Tewari. The documentary film is based on a former city of Portuguese India — Chaul, now in ruins at the Korlai coast near Mumbai.
The event will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker.
One of the few remaining Portuguese speaking communities in India today, the rare Korlai Portuguese Creole is at the risk of extinction and all the rich experiences, thoughts and traditions it brings with it.
