Alliance Française de Bombay brings to you a special morning of insightful conversations with the author of ‘Mao et Moi’ and many other children’s books — Chen Jianghong.
In the 1960s, Chen Jianghong was a little boy living an ordinary life in the north of China, until one day Chairman Mao proclaimed the Cultural Revolution. Through his books for children, Mr. Chen has illustrated his experiences in China. He has since then lived and worked in Paris as a painter & illustrator.
The author will share these glimpses into his artistic life along with presenting his books, paintings and other works inspired by his experiences!

About the author
Chen Jianghong is a Chinese artist living in Paris. He is a notable painter and illustrator who studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. He has lived and worked in Paris since 1987 and his work is regularly exhibited in France as well as in countries around the world. In addition to his work as a painter, he has published many albums for young people at the ‘École des loisirs.’
