Vagabond souls by Stephanie Cornfield

The journey does begin to flutter in midway when entities tend to begin their quest and are hurdled by unexpected encounters. The journey might terminate or might get chosen for eternity or digress to again follow a novel identity. Nevertheless the genres of journeys sustain to persist and to accumulate manifold experiences. The peripatetic and ever changing temperament of journey is the cause of the entitled show VAGABOND SOULS a series of photographs by artist Stephanie Cornfield that forms a part of Percept Art’s participation in the Focus Photography Festival, 2015.
The course of photography presented at Percept Art is not only a trail but a trace of journeys undertaken by eminent and popular personalities depicted in her photographs. The stances of the doyens, their elite yet subtle dispositions, the reflected demeanours symbolise their momentary contingencies as well as assertive characters, sharing common passion and profession.

VAGABOND SOULS, includes 25 photographs of well known artists such as David Lynch, Amanda Plummer, Anand Gandhi, Anselmo Vasconcelos, Tsui Hark, Shu Qi, David Carradine, Kevin Bacon, Anushka Sharma, Andy Lau, Bai Ling, Bud Spencer, Dino Risi, Ebru Akel, John Hurt, John Phillip Law, Joshua Oppenheimer, Kirk Douglas, Marcos Bernstein, Melvin Van Peebles, Patrick Swayze, Sibel Kekilli, Fernando Meirelles, Colin Firth and a beautiful self portrait of the artist Stephanie herself.
Stephanie Cornfield is an international photographer, she shares her time between Asia, Europe and United States. They say that Stephanie Cornfield has Hollywood cinema in her DNA. Her father, Hubert Cornfield, was famous for his movies with SydneyPoitier and Marlon Brando, and her grandfather was president of 20th Century Fox in Europe and the Middle East. Stephanie who manages to build the repertoire which is now hers and to become known as not only a photographer of stars, but also a star photographer.One that resulted in photographic gems of greats such as Jack Nicholson, David Lynch, Kirk Douglas, Sofia Coppola, Colin Firth, Kevin Bacon, Andy Lau, Fatih Akin, Larry Clark, Dino Risi, Tsui Hark, Amanda Plummer and Claudia Cardinale, amongst others. Stephanie Cornfield was the Venice Movie Star winner in 2011 , and was selected as one of the best photographers of Cannes International Film Festival 2014 in the section L’oeil du Photographe (Behind the lens) . Stephanie is working with various international publications, she has a continuous collaboration with the Los Angeles Times but has been published also in Vogue, the Guardian, the Bund, El Pais, Le Soir, Der Tagesspiegel, Le monde, Elle…etc.
She has set herself in Mumbai and has collaborated with the leader of Indian Independant Cinema Anurag Kayshap, she made the portrait of Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Raveena Tandon and few others
