Chérif Soumano is a rising star who mixes the music of his time with the traditional repertoire that his father transmitted to him in Mali. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented and promising Kora players of his generation and known for ability to communicate musically with different kinds of soundscapes.

Shahnawaz Ahmed is quite an unusual classical Indian musician who plays various styles on a modern guitar with unique technique and incredible ease. Accompanied by the young talent Shahbaaz Khan on the tabla, they will present their respective traditional repertoires, as well as some pieces resulting from their residency which took place at Alliance Française de Delhi.

This concert is part of the [In]Chorus cycle of musical meetings organized by Alliance Française de Delhi and the organisation Kalasetu for the promotion of South Asian Traditional Performing Arts and exchanges between Indian and French artists.
