ABOUT THE FILM:

Mon Pabaner Nao (Aboard Paban’s Boat) is a saga of the musical journey of Paban Das Baul and Mimlu Sen in Paris, propagating the music and message of Baul culture. The film reminisces how Paban Das, and Mimlu Sen met for the first time in Paris, started and shared their journey in togetherness.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Ladly Mukhopadhaya is a writer and film maker with nearly four decades of work behind him, Ladly’s creations (be it essays or films) mostly deal with socio-cultural issues of marginalised, under-privileged communities, documenting peoples’ voices and feelings, raising questions backed by reason and sensitivity. As a senior fellowship awardee of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, he carried out an extensive research and visual documentation project on the Bauls of Bengal.
