La Grande Illusion by Jean Renoir (117′)

This Renoir masterpiece tells the story of the class relations amongst a small group of French officers who are prisoners of war during World War I and are plotting their escape. The film will be followed by a small discussion in English on the films released in 1938 in India and France to highlight the general trends in Cinema during this period.
