Contempt / Le mépris by Jean-Luc Godard (110′)

Dissatisfied with acclaimed director Lang’s treatment of the film, film producer Jeremy Prokosch hires Paul Javal to rework the script. The conflict between artistic expression and commercial opportunity parallels Paul’s sudden estrangement from his wife Camille Javal who becomes aloof when he leaves her alone with Prokosch.
