An Evening with the Swiss Author Elisa Shua Dusapin
Within the framework of [In]Writing and Swiss Literary Days, we were part of an evening with the French-Speaking Swiss Author Elisa Shua Dusapin. This event was organised in partnership with the Official Swiss Diplomatic Missions in India, Pro Helvetia New Delhi Swiss Arts Council, the French Institute in India, and Alliance Française de Delhi.
The evening consisted of 2 parts:
a) 6 pm – A Bilingual Reading (English & French) of excerpts from the novel Hiver à Sokcho (Winter at Sokcho) with the Author Elisa Shua Dusapin & Dr. Siba Barkataki
b) 6:50 pm – A Creative Writing Workshop IN FRENCH with the Author

About the Author
Elisa Shua Dusapin (ESD) is the daughter of a French father and a South Korean mother. ESD came to Switzerland as a child and became a Swiss citizen at the age of 13. She started writing at high school in Porrentruy, canton of Jura. ESD studied at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel and graduated in 2014. Her first novel Hiver à Sokcho was published in 2016. In 2018, she published her second novel Les Billes du Pachinko. ESD’s novels are set in South Korea.
