Fête de la Musique or World Music Day is an annual global celebration of music in all its diversity! This year, Alliance Française de Bombay in partnership with the network of Alliances Françaises in India brings you the unique opportunity to become a part of this musical extravaganza by participating in a digital contest!
Send us a video of you singing and/or playing a musical instrument in accordance with the rules and regulations highlighted below and you could stand the chance of winning exciting prizes!
RULES AND REGULATIONS
– The competition is free and open to all Indian citizens who are atleast 18 years of age at the time of sending submissions and who physically stay in Mumbai.
– Entries will strictly be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis via [email protected]
– The final deadline for submissions is 6pm on June 10, 2020 (Wed). Any entries received after the deadline will automatically be disqualified.
– Only solo performances are allowed. Any duo and/or group-performances will automatically be disqualified.
– Each participant is allowed to send only one submission.
– The video should be in landscape mode, MP4 format, and maximum 2 minutes long.
– The video should clearly feature the face of the singer/performer and the musical instrument (if any) they are playing.
– Each submission should be accompanied by the participant’s full name + age + contact number (preferably WhatsApp) + email address
– The submission can be a cappella (i.e. vocals only) OR vocals + musical instrument OR musical instrument only. Karaoke covers will NOT be accepted.
– Participants are allowed to sing in any language of their choice and/or play any musical instrument.
– The submission can be an original composition or a cover. However, in case of covers, it is mandatory to provide the name of the original song + artist + record label.
– Alliance Française de Bombay and the network of Alliances Françaises in India reserves the right to use all submissions as per its discretion.
– The prizes are non-transferable and will ONLY be awarded to the singer/musician who features in the original submission.
– The selection of the winners will be final and binding. NO queries on this front will be entertained under any circumstances.
– The winning video from Alliance Française de Bombay will automatically qualify for the national-level competition and will compete with the winners from the other Alliances Françaises in the India network.
