Georges Feydeau, leading french comic playwright, as seen by Georges Lavaudant, in a very classical plot: a man wants to leave his mistress because he is on the verge of getting married. A tense, meticulous staging whose purity and simplicity restore all the freedom, precision and effectiveness of the “diabolical mechanism” of language and situations created by the author. A funny and entertaining production interspersed with subtle poetry and undertones of existential unease bordering on surrealism.
