Special Event: Art Thursdays

In partnership with Sakshi Gallery and the French Embassy  in India

On the occasion of Art Thursdays, the Alliance Française de Bombay is pleased to launch, in partnership with Sakshi Gallery, a cycle of animations “Résolument animés” that will take place monthly from January to May, every second Thursday.
The second part of the cycle will be presented during the exhibition Post cards from the forest, by Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi (digital photographs and sound performance).

Les escargots,  by René Laloux and Roland Topor (1965, 10’48)
A peasant cries over his puny lettuce… and suddenly they start to grow out of all proportion. Snails devour them and having their appetites wetted destroy everything in front of them before fighting to death amongst themselves. Surviving this, the peasant next cries over his puny carrots. Soon these start to grow, however on the horizon you can see a rabbit pointing his ears.
