The director and writer Jeffrey Goldberg will be the facilitator of this workshop. The screening series will draw parallels between the new wave cinema in France in the 60’s and what is happening in Indian cinema currently. It will look at how the filmmakers of the French New Wave in the 1960’s emerged as a young generation of storytellers that dared challenge the frontiers of what was possible with cinema and how the very same combination of talent, youth and creativity is enabling Indian filmmakers to tell stories that are changing the face of Indian and world cinema now.
