Sometime in 1910, the Bombay Development Trust was apportioning land in areas out of the congested city of Bombay, and the South Indian Community founded a thriving community – temples, bazaars et al. Not lagging behind were the Gujaratis who built their ‘dharamshalas’. Experience multi-culture in this little known part of our city with some of the oldest educational institutes where the old and new seamlessly integrate.
