In Central America, when an oil well catches fire, the Southern Oil Company sends out a call for long-distance truck drivers. The company hires four European men to drive two trucks over mountain dirt roads, loaded with nitro-glycerine needed to extinguish the flames. Through vivid dialogue, tense interactions and flashbacks, we become intimately acquainted with the four drivers who sign up for this death-defying mission.
