Antoine is a joyful, but lonely and disenchanted photographer who has as his only friend the 7 years old son of his neighbour. Antoine had never felt as though he quite fit in, but one day, he hears a piano sonata playing in the house across from him and is mesmerized. He photographs the pianist, Elena at any chance that he gets and soon, an intense relationship develops between the two. Elena makes Antoine feel like he has a place on Earth.
